FAQs
We get a lot of questions. If you have one you don’t see the answer to, please email or text us and we will get back to you!
-
We are appointment only, and generally our small parking lot behind the shop can accommodate all of our guests. Additional free public parking is available across the street on Cedar Creek Drive. We have an ADA ramp under our carport. Please let us know how we can best assist you.
-
The shop minimum is $125. Pricing is dependent upon several factors including size, detail, placement, and your body’s reaction to the tattoo process. The artists’ hourly rates are based on their level of experience and speed. While rates may differ, we try to ensure all artists are charging relatively the same price per piece. A five year tattooer is going to be much faster than a two year tattooer. We do our best to quote accurately, but please understand it is simply an estimate. The final price could be less or more. Please note a small processing fee will be added to all debit and credit card transactions.
-
If your artist charges by the hour, you’re charged for the time on skin. The set up and aftercare is included in the rate. Your session includes a small break between every stage of the process, and a free touch up within each artist’s perimeters.

First of all, we’re honored to receive your trust! The best way to schedule an appointment or consultation is by email. Just visit our artists page, click on the person you feel is best for your project, and you will be directed to their email. If you don’t have an artist preference just email the shop, and we will pair you with the person who is best for the job. You can text us at 706-489-1609 if you’d like, but you’ll be directed to our email to submit a request after our chat.

Please be thorough in your email with a description of the tattoo you want, approximate size in inches, placement on the body, and reference photos to help convey your vision. Emails that do not include references, and afore mentioned specifications will not be booked as quickly as those that do so please remember to include all of the information listed above.
-
During peak seasons (spring and fall) we receive a large volume of emails, which we respond to in our off hours. To save time, we respond to emails 2-3 times a week, so it is not uncommon to wait up to a week for a reply during busy times. We do, however, try our best to reply to everyone. You’re welcome to resend an email if you do not hear back within a week.
-
Most of the time, yes. However, during your discussion with the artist they may decide they aren’t the best fit for your project, and that’s ok! It’s our ethical duty to be honest with you so your tattoo gets the interest and attention it deserves. We encourage all artists to choose projects in their preferred styles so you get the highest quality experience they can offer.
-
It is super helpful to send any reference pictures of tattoos, artwork, or photos that you like to help explain your ideas. Please remember we are a custom shop, and will use your references as inspiration only, and not directly copy someone else’s tattoo that you bring in. This will ensure that you get a unique tattoo that is designed just for you. Since some of us work in set styles, we realize we cannot effectively tattoo 100% of imagery.
If one of us can’t take your project, we will happily give you a recommendation for another artist if possible. We firmly believe that commissioning a tattoo is just that, commissioning a piece of custom artwork from an artist that you connect with. We hope you understand. During your consultation we will discuss size, layout, and placement with you, and if you like the direction we’re going we’ll move forward. We strongly encourage you to look over your artist’s portfolio to ensure they’re the right fit for your desired aesthetic.
-
A nonrefundable deposit is made through a Calendly link provided by the artist, or can be paid at the time of your consultation if you haven’t yet scheduled the tattoo. If you have a strict budget please let us know so we can work on your tattoo in sessions, and design accordingly. Your deposit will go towards the cost of your tattoo, and will be applied to the last session. We recommend you look over our deposit policy before making a payment.
-
We are fortunate to sometimes receive more requests for tattoo work than we can accommodate at any given time, so if your design does not fit within our preferred tattooing styles, or we simply can’t take on any new work at the moment we might decline. We don’t want to compromise quality or time spent with clients to take on a higher volume of work. What we do want is for you to end up with the artist that has the time, interest, and ability to give you the attention your tattoo deserves, and who will do an amazing job, even if it’s not us.
-
We currently are NOT allowing any companions because we simply do not have the space to accommodate extra people in our lobby at most times.

Yes, and no. Every artist has their own policies for numbing cream. Cosmetic tattooing includes it, however some of us only allow an application after line work. Most numbing products cause the skin’s texture to change which not only makes the application of ink more difficult, but can also affect the healing process. We have Bactine with lidocaine that most artists will apply after the line work, and several times during color. Some of us also have very potent secondary numbing that can be added to the cost of your tattoo per request. Contact your artist to discuss your options.

Do:
*Get a good night’s rest.
*Stay hydrated.
*Eat a full, hearty meal a couple of hours before your appointment.
*Moisturize the area every day a few days before your appointment. Dry skin doesn’t usually heal as well.
*Use numbing cream if you’d like. Please email us for instructions.
*Bring snacks and drinks for long sessions.
*Wear appropriate clothing that gives the artist access to the area being tattooed. Ink stains happen so don’t wear anything expensive or sentimental.
*Bring a pillow or a blanket if you are easily cold or uncomfortable.
Don’t:
*Drink caffeine.
*Take aspirin.
*Be hungover.
*Show up intoxicated.
*Forget your government issued ID.
*Bring anyone under the age of 18 with you.
*Bring a companion.
