Jess is originally from Savannah, Ga, and has been professionally tattooing for 8 years. She has a BA focused in painting, ceramics, and art history, and is best known for her fine line flora and fauna. Additionally, she loves using bold color any chance she can get. If you love traditional styles, she’s your gal! When she’s not tattooing, Jess can usually be found trail riding with her bestie, Pebbles, or tending to her animals on her hobby farm.

Madison is a total nerd originally from Kennesaw, GA, and currently loving her third year of professional tattooing. She moved to Athens 6 years ago to attend UGA but eventually left to pursue an apprenticeship in the world of body art. She loves tattooing anime characters, botanical ornaments, sparkly animals, and anything magical!

Emmy has lived in Athens for 8 year, and has been tattooing professionally for 2 years after completing her apprenticeship. She loves fine line, florals, and anything blackwork. When she’s not in the shop, she’s usually screaming at video games with a cat on her lap

Originally from a small town in Northern California, Cassidy moved to Georgia to pursue tattooing in 2023. Known for intricate florals and other nature-themed pieces, she combines a love of organic forms with dark yet delicate qualities of Art Nouveau. With a lifelong passion for art, Cassidy has worked in many mediums including drawing, painting, photography, and weaving. She strives to create designs that as unique and timeless as the clients who wear them.

Zoey is a Florida-based tattoo artist who has been living in Athens for two years. With a deep love for animals and a passion for bringing whimsical and woodcut medieval designs to life, she specializes in custom tattoos that blend storytelling, quirk, and a touch of old-world charm. Inspired by old storybooks, woodcut prints, etchings, and all things nature, Zoey’s work captures the magic of the past with a playful twist.

Mascot

Harry is a 13 year old quarter horse. This fancy boy fell into Jess’ lap shortly before opening the shop. After a 3 month stint in rehab he is now back on his feet, and enjoying semi-retirement. He’s the sweetest, best boy, and will only know kindness and love as Dark Horse’s mascot.
