  • 1.   After the bandage is removed, wash with a mild antibacterial soap like liquid pump gold Dial and warm water. Rinse and pat dry with a paper towel

    2.   Allow the area to air dry for 10-15 minutes before applying a thin layer of unmedicated A&D ointment. Repeat these first three steps 3-4 times daily for the next 5 days.

    3.   After 5 days switch to a good quality unscented lotion, such as Cera Ve or Curel, and continue to wash your tattoo, and apply the lotion 3-4 times a day. The tattoo will begin to peel, and may have small areas of scabbing at this point in the healing process. Do not pick at or scratch it as this will cause damage. Applying lotion throughout the day will help prevent any dryness/itching

    4.   Showers are fine, but do not submerge your tattoo in water or tan for at least a month. Absolutely no natural bodies of water (rivers, lakes, ocean, etc.)

  • 1.   Leave the bandage on your tattoo for up to, but no longer than, 3 days. Usually by the second day, there is a significant amount of fluid collecting inside the bandage, this is normal. It is a collection of blood, plasma, and ink that will be re-absorbed. If the bandage starts to peel off on its own due to wear and tear, enough to begin to expose your tattoo or leak you will need to remove the bandage. DO NOT RE-BANDAGE, and refer to the traditional method of healing.

    2.   You will know it is time to remove the bandage when most of the fluid has been absorbed. To remove the bandage: You will need antibacterial hand soap like liquid pump gold Dial. DO NOT use dish soap. Use water with clean hands to soak the edges until you get a corner peeled up. Gently pull down on that corner while using soap lather to assist in releasing the bandage. Do not attempt to dry-peel off the bandage.

    3.   After the bandage is removed, wash with a mild antibacterial soap like liquid pump Gold Dial. Rinse and pat dry with a clean paper towel. never wipe a fresh tattoo.

    4.   Air out the tattoo for a good 15 minutes before applying unscented lotion like Cera Ve or Curel to the tattoo to assist with any dryness.

    5.   There may be some mild flaking in the near future after this, although most clients experience very little. Continue using the above listed moisturizers twice daily or as needed for dryness/itching.

    6.   Showers are fine, but do not submerge your tattoo in water or expose to the sun for long periods of time for at least a month. Absolutely no natural bodies of water (rivers, lakes, ocean, etc.).
